Corrosion monitoring are sensors that measure material structure to monitor whether corrosion alters this strucutre in a degree that could influence the efficiency or security of a pipeline, tank or other assets. The sensors are "probes" which are inserted into the process stream and which are continuously exposed to the process stream condition. Corrosion monitoring "probes" can be mechanical, electrical, or electrochemical devices.
