Junction boxes offshore are often exposed to and must be able to persist extreme conditions. This is to ensure it's contents are protected and to maintain a stable environment inside. Sensors can be used to monitor whether the conditions truly are within the requirements and also to register whether juction box door has been opened by unauthorized personell.
