The Project Manager will be responsible for management and execution of the projects performed primarily in the Gulf of Mexico projects, but will also contribute in other parts of the organization on an as need basis. This will include the execution of Tampnet design and engineering related to mechanical, structural, electrical and telecommunications systems in close cooperation with other engineering and architectural staff within the company. The Project Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining a high standard for project deliverables for both internal to company and external customers.

Main Responsibility and Tasks

  • Actively comply, enforce, and participate in Tampnet HSEQ policies and procedures
  • Liaison between project sponsor(s) and Tampnet operations and sales
  • Represent Tampnet as needed to foster working relationships with clients
  • Act as a technical representative to support sales team
  • Lead the development of project plans
  • Lead the execution of project plans
  • Assist in the execution of project as needed
  • Manage all documentation related to project
  • Lead the representation of the project internally through verbal and written correspondence
  • Lead the representation of the project externally through verbal and written correspondence
  • Lead the development, analysis, and reporting of project KPIs
  • Manage project budgets through Tampnet sponsored software and accounting practices
  • Work closely with support teams to ensure proper execution of the project
  • Act as point of contact for project execution resources
  • Travel to project locations as needed
  • Lead or participate in after action reviews of network performance
  • Contribute to a positive work environment in the team / department
  • Participate in emergency response team as necessary
  • Perform other technical tasks within his/her area of expertise
  • Travel as needed

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from university required or relevant experience required Minimum 6 years’ experience in Project Management
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience with engineering guidelines for deployments in the GoM, understanding of the ABS, USCG and BSEE requirements in relations to telecoms offshore
  • Knowledge with executing project for LTE networks, Line of Sight (LoS), Fiber Optic Networks & Subsea Fiber Optic Networks and IP/MPLS infrastructure
  • In-depth knowledge about offshore Oil & Gas companies’ technical requirements to produce documentation and deliverable packages
  • Capable of maintaining a high degree of effectiveness in a multitask role, managing priorities and delivering to challenging timescales
  • Ensure that safety risks and business risks associated with engineering activities are assessed and that appropriate checks, controls and precautions are being taken care of
  • Be self-driven and able to work independently, as well as being excellent at teamwork to work in a Global diverse work environment
