Costly cabling and installation of vibration monitoring sensors often results in only monitoring critical machinery.  Traditionally, condition monitoring specialists would visit site with hand-held data collectors for regular data collection and analysis, requiring mobilisation and extended offshore scopes to capture the data.

New sensors are available for EX environments, with low install cost and wireless connectivity, allowing for remote monitoring of rotating machinery for effective condition monitoring to support a robust predictive maintenance model, while reducing costs for monitoring and spares management.
