How does it work?

If you are with one of the major carriers your smartphone or tablet will automatically switch to our network, when offshore in the Gulf of Mexico (America) and you can use both data services and talk services with the SIM card that is already installed in your device. 

Turn on "Roaming" on your smartphone

Go to "Settings" on your smartphone. Choose "Mobile Data" and choose "Mobile Data Options". Make sure that "Data Roaming" is on. Choose "Voice & Data" and make sure "4G and VoLTE" is on.

Can I get this?

Contact your operator to see if your cellular plan includes domestic roaming. Contacting the operators via Facebook/Messenger is an efficient way to reach customer care.

Is this automatic?
Yes, if your plan includes domestic roaming - your phone will connect seamlessly to Tampnet network as long as your device is configurated to allow roaming (switch to roaming using the settings menu on your device). 
How do I get started?
Make sure your plan includes domestic roaming and that your device is configurated to allow roaming (switch to roaming using the settings menu on your device). Your operator may require you to activate a domestic roaming pass. 
Can I both talk, text and stream?
Yes, this is the case for most operators. That said - some operators might have measures in place to limit speed or megabytes consumed. Also, for some operators the rates for voice and SMS might deviate from terrestrial rates and be excluded from monthly allowances. 
How fast is the internet?
You will experience the same speeds/quality of service compared to terrestrial networks. However, some operators might have measures in place to limit speed or megabytes consumed. 
What does it cost?
Most operators include Tampnet data roaming without additional costs. That said, rates for voice and text might differ from terrestrial networks. Reach out to your operator to get confirmation on additional charges - contacting the operators via Facebook/Messenger is often an efficient way to reach customer care. 
When will I receive my bill?
The additional charges will typically be billed in their current billing cycle.
Which devices can I use?
Any devices that has an active SIM card installed which is eligible for domestic roaming.

Why would I not choose other networks?
Tampnet has agreements with major carriers and other will be roaming on our network soon. 
I have difficulties getting access to your services?
If you are uncertain that your plan is eligible for Tampnet services - or if you experience issues using Tampnet services - please verify that your subscription allows for national/domestic roaming with you service provider.
