Building on connectivity services already provided to three Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels, the framework agreement enables delivery of resilient, high-capacity connectivity across offshore operations as BW Offshore advances digitalisation across its fleet. The collaboration will drive greater use of real-time data, cloud-based applications and collaborations between offshore and onshore teams.

FPSOs represent a particular connectivity challenge. As large, complex production facilities, they often operate for years in remote locations, while increasingly requiring continuous access to data, software and onshore expertise. As critical operational applications move to the cloud, reliable and secure connectivity becomes a prerequisite for day-to-day operations and collaborations with teams on land.
The agreement is Tampnet's first long-term global framework agreement directly with an FPSO company and marks an important step in its positioning within the global FPSO market.
