Tampnet today announced that Mr Kristian Tear has been elected Director of the Board at Tampnet.

Mr Kristian Tear, a native Swede, has more than twenty years international experience in the telecoms sector and currently also serves as Chairman of the Board of NOTE AB, Sweden, a member of the Advisory Board at RiverMeadow Software U.S.A and as a Director of International Tennis Hall of Fame, U.S.A.

Most recently Mr Kristian Tear has held positions as Chief Operation Officer at BlackBerry, Executive Vice President & Head of Sales and Marketing at Sony Mobile and President of Ericsson in the Regions of South East Asia, Germany, Austria & Switzerland and Central America.

He has during his career been posted  in Toronto, Munich, London, Zurich, Kuala Lumpur and Mexico City. He speaks five languages and holds a Master of Science from The Royal institute of technology, Stockholm, Sweden and has completed the Ericsson Executive MBA Program at Colombia University in New York.
